Uganda triumphed over Somalia 2-0 in a 2026 World Cup qualifier on September 8, 2025, with goals by Allan Okello and Jude Ssemugabi, maintaining their second-place position in Group G with 15 points.

Uganda defeated Somalia 2-0 in a 2026 World Cup qualifying match at Mandela National Stadium on Monday September 8.

Allan Okello scored a penalty in the 6th minute, and Jude Ssemugabi added another goal in the 39th minute.

This victory placed Uganda second in Group G, tied with Mozambique at 15 points. Somalia was eliminated from the competition and struggled throughout the match.

Uganda remains in contention for a playoff with two games remaining.
