GIRAV Project delivered materials to the Department of Agriculture.

The GIRAV Project has generously donated eight desktop computers, one laptop, 17 tables, and three basic mobile phones to the Department of Agriculture to enhance the E-extension platform, Senenya Bantaba.

Mr. Abdoulie Touray, the CPCU project coordinator, highlighted the importance of strengthening the connection between extension officers and farmers, noting a concerning farmer-to-extension officer ratio of 1:3000 in The Gambia.

Director General Musa Humma expressed gratitude to the GIRAV Project for its support of the extension policy, stating that the new equipment will significantly assist field officers in better addressing farmers’ needs.
