On October 4, 2025, the Honorable Minister of Higher Education inspected construction at the University of The Gambia’s Faraba Banta Campus, focusing on Lot 2, which includes the Faculty of Law, the School of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, and a seven-story Chancery building.

The Minister praised the progress but urged contractors to accelerate their work, emphasizing the project’s importance and the target opening date of December 27, 2025, as set by the President. All UTG schools and administrative offices will relocate to the new campus.
