The Honorable Minister of Higher Education, Professor Pierre Gomez, officially transferred the Brikama Chancery Building to the University of Education, The Gambia (UEG) on October 4, 2025.

This transfer aims to enhance equity and operational capacity in Gambia’s higher education sector, as UEG previously lacked dedicated administrative facilities. The Chancery will serve as UEG’s main administration building.

The Minister acknowledged the collaboration with the University of The Gambia (UTG) and the University of Science, Engineering and Technology (USET) during the transition and confirmed that the AUF Center of Employability will continue to serve all institutions. Vice Chancellors from the three universities expressed their support for the transfer and collaboration in higher education.
