Gambian Ambassador In Brussels Presents Credentials In Slovak

Gambia strengthens diplomatic ties in Europe, with Slovakia pledging development cooperation.

On Monday July 29, 2024, the Gambian Ambassador to Belgium and Permanent Representative to the European Union, Pa Musa Jobarteh, presented his Letters of Credence to the President of the Slovak Republic, Peter Pellegrini, in Brussels. Ambassador Jobarteh’s jurisdiction now encompasses Slovakia, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Jobarteh conveyed warm greetings from President Adama Barrow to the President, the Government, and the people of the Slovak Republic. He also expressed his commitment to further enhancing bilateral ties between the two countries.

President Pellegrini welcomed Ambassador Jobarteh to the Slovak Republic and congratulated him on his appointment as the Gambian Ambassador. President Pellegrini also expressed a strong interest in providing development cooperation to support The Gambia, particularly in agriculture. The authorities in The Gambia will hold further discussions about this potential collaboration before the end of the year
