Mohammed B.S. Jallow, Vice President of The Gambia, launched the new Board of Directors for the Banjul International Convention Centre Limited (BICC) on September 19.

This marks the transition from the OIC Secretariat to a limited liability company focused on managing OIC legacy assets. The board, led by Mawdo Juwara and Vice-Chairman Yusupha Alieu Kah, aims to enhance operational efficiency and financial sustainability, making The Gambia a key destination for global conferences.

Minister of Information Dr. Ismaila Ceesay highlighted the initiative as vital for transforming The Gambia into a conference hub in Africa, thereby boosting tourism and the economy.
