Visit of President Adama Barrow to Tanger Med Port, Morocco

President Adama Barrow, joined by Madam Sarjo Mballow-Barrow and a delegation, visited the Tanger Med port in Morocco to explore potential collaboration opportunities in the maritime sector.

The Tanger Ports Agency presented an overview of the port’s history, detailing investments from both public and private sectors, its role in local job creation, and its connectivity.

The President was particularly impressed by the port’s innovative technologies and digital innovations. Ranked 17th among 900 ports globally, Tanger Med plays a vital role in trade within the Mediterranean and Africa. This visit underscores The Gambia’s commitment to enhancing its maritime industry and seeking economic partnerships.
