UTG Vice Chancellor and CILSS Executive Secretary visit Vice President Jallow

The Vice President of The Gambia, Mohammed B.S. Jallow, met with Professor Herbert Robinson and Dr. Abdoulaye Mohammadou to discuss initiatives in evidence-based policymaking and sustainable development.

Key initiatives included the CFAL Training Centre, which enhanced capacity for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the Centre for Sustainable Development Policy Studies, which focused on data-driven policymaking and was supported by UNDP.

Dr. Mohammadou emphasized CILSS’s collaboration with The Gambia through the P2RS project. At the same time, the Vice President highlighted the importance of research, partnerships, and the country’s commitment to knowledge-driven governance and regional cooperation.
