The Cardiovascular Education Foundation and Global Cardiac Care initiated their first pacing mission in The Gambia, led by Dr. Lamin E.S. Jaiteh, to train local healthcare teams and enhance heart care, supported by the Minister of Health and FaBB Foundation, with plans for a sustainable device program.

Hon. Fatou Kinteh, Gambia’s Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Welfare, was awarded the African Union Women’s Impact Award at the 2025 Global Excellence Summit in Lagos for her work in advancing women’s rights and sustainable development across Africa.
