Court Allows Trump to Revoke Protected Status for Immigrants from Cameroon and Afghanistan
A U.S. court has allowed the Trump administration to end Temporary Protected Status for over 10,000 Afghans and Cameroonians, sparking legal battles with advocacy group CASA, which claims the move is illegal and racially motivated, amid broader efforts to terminate TPS for migrants from Honduras, Nicaragua, Venezuela, and Haiti.
Around 200 Migrants were Intercepted Near the Coast of Senegal
The Senegalese navy intercepted 201 migrants, including women and children, in Foundiougne and the Saloum Delta, as the dangerous Atlantic route to Spain’s Canary Islands sees nearly 47,000 arrivals in 2024, with growing numbers from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Yemen, Syria, and Afghanistan.
