Nigeria and Gambia Enhance Relations as Valuejet Launches Direct Flights

ValueJet’s Managing Director, Capt Omololu Majekodunmi, has announced the airline’s first flight to Banjul, The Gambia. He highlighted how this flight could improve trade between Nigeria and The Gambia.

The Lagos-Banjul route will be operated by a specific aircraft and is expected to enhance economic connections and boost tourism, as ValueJet is the only airline providing direct flights to Banjul.

This launch marks a significant step for the airline, as it aims to enhance travel in West Africa with competitive pricing.

The inaugural flight event on May 15, 2025, had many important guests, including the Gambian ambassador to Nigeria, and received support from the Gambian government for promoting regional integration.
