On Monday, July 22, Dr. Mamadou Tangara, the Foreign Minister, engaged in a virtual meeting with Mr. Elon Musk, the visionary behind SpaceX and Tesla.

The conversation focused on the potential of leveraging new technological advancements to address The Gambia’s digital disparity. This involves enhancing government revenue collection and delivering internet access to the most remote communities in the country via satellite technology.

Minister Tangara expressed gratitude to Elon Musk for the meeting and conveyed his hope that this interaction marks the commencement of a strong partnership and alliance between The Gambia and SpaceX.
