The Manjai Sports Association has filed a formal complaint against Deputy Commissioner Abdou Jagne of the Kanifing Municipal Police Division with the Inspector General of Police. They accuse him of unfair conduct and damaging the integrity of law enforcement regarding the management of the Father Gough Sports Complex.

Main concerns include

Conflict of Interest: Jagne’s residence in Manjai raises concerns about bias in a case that requires neutrality.

Violation of Police Directive: Jagne allowed unauthorized access to the park and wrongfully detained the park manager instead of addressing trespassers.

The Association requests Jagne’s removal from the issue, an independent investigation into his actions, and the reinstatement of the original police directive to keep the facility closed until the matter is resolved.
