Abubakary Jawara, CEO of GACH Global, received the Global Well Respected CEOs Award in Dubai on October 30, 2024, with his children accepting the award on his behalf. This recognition highlights his leadership in the mining sector and philanthropic efforts, making him the first Gambian to achieve this honor.

Jawara, in his humble acceptance, acknowledged that the award boosts Gambia’s global visibility and reflects his significant contributions, emphasizing he does not lobby for such accolades. He expressed gratitude to the organizers and the Gambian people for their support, noting he holds no resentment toward his critics.
