The Ministry of Health in The Gambia has provided two community ambulances to the Bati Njol and Tamba communities as part of a plan to deliver a total of 80 ambulances for patient referrals in remote areas.
Dr. Babanding Sabally emphasized the government’s commitment to improving health services and reducing maternal deaths. Community leaders expressed gratitude for the ambulances, which will be particularly beneficial for pregnant women.
The initiative is part of a broader strategy to expand health coverage nationwide.
