GPF hosts the SIS Director General and delegation for a security tour.

On November 27, Deputy Inspector General of Police Demba Sowe extended a warm welcome to Ousman Sowe, Director General of the State Intelligence Service, and his delegation at Police Headquarters in Banjul.

This visit formed part of a security assessment and stakeholder engagement tour aimed at bolstering inter-agency collaboration and strategically deploying personnel throughout the country. Demba Sowe commended the SIS’s efforts and underscored the vital role of cooperation in ensuring national stability.

In turn, Ousman Sowe emphasized the necessity for capacity building, resource allocation, and joint operations to enhance national security responses. Other officials recognized the significance of ongoing institutional cooperation, reaffirming the Gambia Police Force’s dedication to collaborating with all security institutions to maintain peace and stability.
