The Gambia Student Union at the Islamic University of Medina celebrated their football team’s Expatriate World Cup win with Minister Bakary Badjie, who promised support with equipment and jerseys to boost Gambian youth development.

Members of the Gambia Student Union at the Islamic University of Medina met with Minister of Youth and Sports, Bakary Badjie, to celebrate their football team’s recent consecutive win in the Expatriate World Cup.

Coach Muhammed Lamin Njie emphasized the team’s talent and need for basic equipment. Vice President Ebrima Mareneh highlighted the union’s focus on academic and sports achievements, while Mustapha Camara discussed logistical challenges associated with international tournaments.

Minister Badjie congratulated the team, recognized sports as a unifying force, and promised support, including sports materials and jerseys.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to support the development of Gambian youth, both locally and abroad.
