Gambia to Start Exporting Groundnuts and Cashews to China

The Gambia secures duty-free access to China for groundnut and cashew exports following a June 2025 agreement, boosting trade opportunities, with exporters required to register with the Gambia Food Safety Authority to comply with regulations.

The Gambia is set to begin exporting groundnuts and cashews to China following a bilateral agreement signed during Minister Babucarr O. Joof’s visit to China in June 2025.

The agreement enables these products to enter the Chinese market duty-free under the China Duty-Free Quota-Free Market Access Preferential Scheme.

The Ministry of Trade advises exporters to register with the Gambia Food Safety Authority (FSQA) to comply with export regulations.
