FIFA contemplates hosting the Club World Cup every two years, starting in 2029, with the support of major European clubs such as Real Madrid and Manchester United, to boost participation and revenue.
Plans include expanding the tournament from 32 to 48 teams and revising the international match calendar.
UEFA opposes eliminating the June international break, while fans express concerns about player fatigue.
FIFA is set to invite bids from countries such as Qatar, Spain, and Morocco for hosting rights.
The proposal faces opposition from the World Leagues group, which may take legal action against FIFA’s decisions.
