Aliko Dangote, president of the Dangote Group, plans to construct Nigeria’s most prominent and deepest seaport in Olokola, Ogun state, to facilitate exports, including liquefied natural gas, and boost industrial growth.

This project represents a renewed effort in an area were previous plans faced local opposition. With the support of local Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, construction has resumed.

The Dangote Group also aims to export liquefied natural gas from Lagos, necessitating the construction of new pipelines from the Niger Delta to enhance gas transportation.

Additionally, Dangote Industries Limited expects to earn $7 million daily from fertilizer sales within two years and has begun nationwide fuel distribution from its refinery.

Dangote envisions Africa achieving self-sufficiency in fertilizer supply within 40 months.
