Around 200 Migrants were Intercepted Near the Coast of Senegal
The Senegalese navy intercepted 201 migrants, including women and children, in Foundiougne and the Saloum Delta, as the dangerous Atlantic route to Spain’s Canary Islands sees nearly 47,000 arrivals in 2024, with growing numbers from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Yemen, Syria, and Afghanistan.
China and Egypt Signed Important Trade Agreements to Enhance Financial Cooperation
On July 10, 2025, Egypt and China’s central banks signed three agreements to boost trade in local currencies, including Panda bonds and a Suez Canal Bank partnership with China-Africa TEDA to promote yuan use in the China-Egypt Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone.
