Bilateral meeting during INTERPOL’s 93rd General Assembly in Marrakech.

The Inspector General of Police, Seedy Mukhtar Touray, met with a Nigerian delegation led by Deputy Minister of Police Affairs, Mr. Ibrahim Muhammed, on November 25 during the 93rd INTERPOL General Assembly in Morocco.

They discussed enhancing bilateral police collaboration, with Nigeria requesting assistance for INTERPOL’s electoral activities. Touray emphasized the importance of intelligence sharing and regional security initiatives, expressing The Gambia’s willingness to host sub-regional NCB meetings.

Both parties agreed on the need for improved intelligence exchange, training collaborations, and teamwork in combating transnational crime, reaffirming their commitment to intelligence-led policing and regional cooperation in line with INTERPOL’s goals.
