Record-high deportation flights from the U.S. are complicating the efforts of immigration rights activists to track cases and locate loved ones due to a lack of information from ICE.

Since the start of Trump’s second term, one activist has logged nearly 6,000 flights, marking a 41% increase from the previous year.

In July alone, over 1,200 deportation flights occurred, including 68 military flights to Guantánamo Bay.

Nearly 200,000 people were deported in the first seven months of Trump’s second term, with over 59,000 in ICE detention by mid-August.

Protests against these immigration actions are increasing in several U.S. cities.
