The 12th Africa CEO Forum, held in Abidjan from May 12 to 13, 2025, gathered over 2,800 leaders, including six heads of state, to discuss key development issues.

Nuclear Energy: Loyiso Tyabashe highlighted the promise of atomic energy and the introduction of Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) for affordable power, with plans to use local uranium.

Artificial Intelligence (AI): The forum called for establishing AI regulations in Africa, emphasizing the need for inclusivity and rapid governance, with Benin and Rwanda leading the way.

Infrastructure Development: Improving logistics and electrification is vital for industrial growth and minimizing agricultural losses. Schneider Electric’s initiatives support these objectives in line with AfCFTA goals.

Overall, the discussions focused on energy strategies, AI governance, and infrastructure development for sustainable growth in Africa.
