The central business district of Accra is currently facing a conflict between city authorities and roadside traders. These traders set up makeshift markets on sidewalks, obstructing pedestrian movement.

This situation highlights the tension between upholding law and order and safeguarding livelihoods. Officials recognize the challenges in enforcing past initiatives, but the success of this new effort is still uncertain.
