PS Mendy Graces Gambians’ First Read-A-Thon Literacy Competition as Young Gambians prepare for the Guinness World Records Reading Challenge.

The Read Gambia Foundation has launched its Read-A-Thon 2025 at Senegambia, aimed at students aged 16 to 30 to promote reading Gambian and African literature.

This initiative prepares participants for the Guinness World Records Reading Challenge. Permanent Secretary Louis Moses Mendy praised the initiative for empowering youth and improving educational standards.

The event gathered dignitaries, educators, parents, and students to celebrate literature as a catalyst for change, marking a significant step toward educational excellence in the country.
