Gambia National Assembly Adjourns Due to Lack of Quorum.

The National Assembly was compelled to adjourn on December 2, 2025, due to an insufficient quorum. Speaker Fabakary Tombong Jatta expressed his concern over the persistent issue of poor attendance and emphasized the need for greater discipline among Members.

He cited Standing Order 12(1) on quorum and chose to adjourn the session until the following day rather than for a brief period, underscoring the ongoing challenges with punctuality. The Speaker urged Members to prioritize timely attendance to facilitate effective parliamentary proceedings.
