101 Convicted Foreign Nationals in The Gambia to be Deported

The Gambia Immigration Department (GID) took custody of 101 foreign nationals convicted of offenses such as illegal possession of devices and fraud, following a court decision on September 16-17, 2025.

The GID is tasked with their detention at their own cost and must facilitate their deportation within 10 days.

The department is organizing travel logistics and ensuring proper record-keeping in the Migration Information and Data Analysis System (MIDAS).
