101 Convicted Foreign Nationals in The Gambia to be Deported

The Gambia Immigration Department took custody of 101 convicted foreign nationals on September 16-17, 2025, for crimes like fraud, tasked with their detention and deportation within 10 days while using the MIDAS system for record-keeping.

The Gambia Immigration Department (GID) took custody of 101 foreign nationals convicted of offenses such as illegal possession of devices and fraud, following a court decision on September 16-17, 2025.

The GID is tasked with their detention at their own cost and must facilitate their deportation within 10 days.

The department is organizing travel logistics and ensuring proper record-keeping in the Migration Information and Data Analysis System (MIDAS).
