Angola Wins the 2025 AfroBasket Title on Home Court

Angola triumphed over Mali 70-43 to win the AfroBasket 2025 title, with Childe Dundao earning MVP honors for his 16-point performance in a dominant display of teamwork.

Angola won the AfroBasket 2025 championship by defeating Mali 70-43. This marked Angola’s first appearance in a final in ten years and Mali’s first ever.

Childe Dundao of Angola was the highest scorer with 16 points and was named tournament MVP.

Angola led 32-20 at halftime and maintained its dominance despite Mali’s attempts to recover, particularly excelling in fast-break points and scoring in the paint.

Dundao highlighted the importance of teamwork in their victory.
