GPPA Held a Four-day Retreat to Update Procurement Forms

The Gambia Public Procurement Authority’s four-day retreat on August 7, 2025, at Sindola Safari Lodge focused on reviewing new Standard Procurement Forms to ensure transparency and compliance with the 2022 Public Procurement Act, advancing 26 reform initiatives.

The Gambia Public Procurement Authority (GPPA) held a four-day retreat, on August 7, at Sindola Safari Lodge to review its new Standard Procurement Forms, which are aligned with the Public Procurement Act of 2022.

Senior officials and procurement specialists aimed to ensure these forms promote transparency and best practices. Ebrima Sanyang from GPPA highlighted ongoing procurement reforms, with 26 initiatives focusing on efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Foday M. Jaiteh, the Director General, emphasized the need for modernization and strategic sourcing.

Yahya Drammeh from the Ministry of Finance praised the initiative as a key step toward improving transparency and accountability in public procurement and encouraged collaboration to develop legally compliant reform tools.
