Parliamentary Diplomacy between The Gambia and China

Rt. Hon. Speaker, Fabakary T. Jatta, welcomed a prominent delegation from the Chinese National People’s Congress, headed by Hon. An Zhaoqing, in Banjul.

The discussions centered on bolstering parliamentary collaboration, improving bilateral relations, and investigating future experience-sharing initiatives for legislators.

Hon. Jatta expressed his appreciation for China’s assistance in The Gambia’s socio-economic development and highlighted the significance of parliamentary diplomacy in enhancing mutual understanding between the two countries.
