Gambia Participates, in partnership with the U.S. Embassy, has initiated a training program for social media influencers designed to fight against false propaganda.

The program aims to educate influencers on the legal ramifications of their content while providing them with tools to recognize and refute misleading information.

Mr. Marr Nyang stressed the vital role influencers play in shaping public opinion and the necessity of creating content responsibly.

Participant Yusupha Jatta pointed out the importance of the initiative in addressing false narratives and plans to utilize the skills acquired to deliver trustworthy information to his followers.

The program aspires to encourage responsible media practices and cultivate a more informed community.
