The Gambia is set to begin exporting groundnuts and cashews to China following a bilateral agreement signed during Minister Babucarr O. Joof’s visit to China in June 2025.

The agreement enables these products to enter the Chinese market duty-free under the China Duty-Free Quota-Free Market Access Preferential Scheme.

The Ministry of Trade advises exporters to register with the Gambia Food Safety Authority (FSQA) to comply with export regulations.
