The fourth China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo started in Changsha, China. It aims to improve cooperation between China and Africa.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and several African officials attended the event, which included nearly 4,700 companies and over 30,000 participants.
They agreed on cooperation projects worth more than $11 billion. The expo showcases African products, allowing participants to display their unique items. Various economic and trade activities will take place, with a focus on industrial cooperation and youth entrepreneurship.
Special events, such as the China-Africa Private Economy Forum, are also scheduled. China aims to strengthen its ties with Africa and has recently announced that it will eliminate all tariffs on African exports to boost trade.
