Cardiovascular Care in The Gambia

The Cardiovascular Education Foundation and Global Cardiac Care initiated their first pacing mission in The Gambia, led by Dr. Lamin E.S. Jaiteh, to train local healthcare teams and enhance heart care, supported by the Minister of Health and FaBB Foundation, with plans for a sustainable device program.

The Cardiovascular Education Foundation (CVEF) and Global Cardiac Care (GCC) are starting their first pacing mission in The Gambia.

They are working with local healthcare teams to improve heart care. Dr. Lamin E.S. Jaiteh will lead the mission, which will train local medical staff in pacing and device interventions.

With support from the Minister of Health and the FaBB Foundation, this initiative aims to strengthen the healthcare system and improve patient outcomes.

This mission marks the first of many planned efforts to establish a lasting device program and improve heart care in The Gambia. Both organizations are committed to ongoing education and capacity building in underserved areas.
