The Embassy of The Gambia in Washington D.C. provides information to Gambians living in the U.S. about changes in U.S. border security and immigration laws.

The U.S. government focuses on prosecuting people who enter the country illegally, stay without permission, or commit crimes.

President Trump has ordered military assistance for border control, including the establishment of National Defense Areas.

Individuals entering the U.S. illegally or remaining after their visa expires may be arrested, fined, jailed, deported, and may face permanent travel bans.

Foreign nationals living in the U.S. without authorization are encouraged to leave immediately and can apply for financial assistance through the CBP Home App.

The U.S. welcomes travelers who follow the rules but strictly enforce immigration laws.

New visa restrictions affect foreign officials who facilitate illegal immigration. Countries that fail to cooperate will face serious consequences.

The Embassy urges Gambian citizens to stay informed about these changes and offers consultations for assistance.
