The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) has established a $1 billion Africa Film Fund to boost the continent’s film and creative industry.

Managed by the Fund for Export-Development in Africa (FEDA), the initiative aims to support African film production and distribution while addressing funding and infrastructure issues.

Afreximbank’s President, Benedict Oramah, stated that this fund will promote growth in the creative sector, and FEDA’s CEO, Marlene Ngoyi, highlighted the goal of creating a vibrant ecosystem for African talent.

Boris Kodjoe from FC Media Group expressed excitement about collaborating with Afreximbank and FEDA for quality content development.
