UDP Diaspora Collected over $111,000 at its Second Convention in Seattle for the 2026 Elections

The United Democratic Party (UDP) conducted its 2nd Diaspora Convention in Seattle on August 2, 2025, bringing together party members from North America in anticipation of The Gambia’s 2026 Presidential Elections. 

Among the prominent speakers were Party Leader Ousainu Darboe, Mayor Talib Ahmed Bensouda, and Chairman Landing B. Sanneh. The occasion functioned as both a political rally and a fundraising initiative, generating over $111,000 from members and supporters. 

Darboe underscored the significance of the UDP Diaspora’s dedication, emphasizing the party’s global campaign for democracy. The convention highlighted the party’s financial support and robust international network as it gears up for the forthcoming elections.
