The United States has appointed Robert Anderson as the new Deputy Chief of Mission to The Gambia.
He was welcomed by Gambian Ambassador Momodou Lamin Bah, who emphasized the importance of enhancing bilateral relations.
The Ambassador requested U.S. support in areas such as democracy, human rights, immigration, and investment.
Anderson expressed his commitment to strengthening the ties between the two countries, which have a longstanding partnership dating back to the colonial period and formal diplomatic relations established 60 years ago.
