On Wednesday, June 25, GACH Global CEO Abubacarr Jawara provided testimony in a lawsuit seeking 58 million dalasi against Kaddijah Kebbeh and Saikou Drammeh, who are alleged to have fraudulently taken and retained funds.
The plaintiff is also pursuing $221,000 for improperly billed petroleum products and GMD 1,000,000 for legal costs, with interest rates applied.
Jawara confirmed that the funds were initially intended for purchasing petroleum and discussed his dealings with Kebbeh and Drammeh, stating that Drammeh managed the communications regarding suppliers.
He attempted to clarify the transfer of funds to a company called Konrigo, which was supposedly for a Senegalese fuel supplier and raised concerns about the legitimacy of the transaction when police contacted him regarding unpaid fuel.
Jawara stated that Drammeh confirmed receipt of the funds and later communicated with Drammeh’s legal team regarding a potential settlement, insisting on either a refund or the delivery of fuel.
