The Gambia hosts the 20th Triennial Conference of the Commonwealth Magistrates’ and Judges’ Association (CMJA) for the first time, with the theme “Innovations in Judicial Practice: Embracing Change for a Better Future.”
Key speakers included CMJA President Hon. Justice Lynne Leitch, who highlighted innovation in judicial reform, and Hon. Chief Justice Hassan B. Jallow, who called for strategic planning in the justice sector.
President Adama Barrow emphasized the need for collaboration to tackle judicial challenges. The conference will feature discussions and networking aimed at strengthening the rule of law and promoting good governance.
