On September 13 in Johannesburg, Lord Mayor Hon. Rohey Malick Lowe represented Banjul at a Mayoral Round Table focusing on urban challenges and sustainability. The key commitments endorsed in a Communiqué for Banjul include:

Affordable and Adequate Housing: Ensuring dignified living conditions resilient to climate change.

Climate Action and Resilience: Promoting sustainable practices, investing in renewable energy, enhancing waste management, and protecting coastlines.

Sustainable Urban Development: Creating green spaces, improving public transportation, and developing eco-friendly infrastructure.
