The Gambia coach, Tom Saintfiet, has said his team will correct their errors before playing Guinea on Friday. The Scorpions suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Senegal, who thrashed them 3-0 in Yamoussoukro.

The Belgian tactician expressed regret at a post-match press conference but said the team will bounce back from the defeat. He said the team was without key players like Abdoulie Jallow and Ebrima Colley, who were suspended.

The Gambia, which sits at the bottom of Group C, will take on Guinea on Friday, January 19, in a must-win match to make it to the next rounds.

Tom Saintfiet promised to deliver by saying, “We won some big teams like Tunisia, Algeria, Guinea, and Morocco and therefore can do the same with Senegal. He added that we have more experience with eighteen players who participated in the last CAN.
