
President Adama Barrow visited Banjul Port to evaluate improvements made since Alport’s takeover, accompanied by Managing Director Mr. Salih Levent Kacar.
They toured a new terminal with a 1,200-container capacity, noting enhanced operational efficiency and upgraded water control systems. The port is expected to accommodate larger ships and higher cargo volumes by 2025, boosting The Gambiaās competitiveness in West African trade.
Barrow emphasizes that infrastructure is crucial for development, highlighting the port’s economic importance.
