Police Recover Stolen Livestock and Arrest Suspects in Jabang

The Gambia Police Anti-Crime Unit arrested three suspects in Jabang for alleged livestock theft, recovering goats, a sheep, and cash, while the suspected buyer remains at large.

On September 20, 2025, the Anti-Crime Unit investigated a suspected livestock theft involving an ash-colored Golf vehicle with registration KM 0923F.

The vehicle contained three individuals who were seen unloading goats at an incomplete building in Jabang. The suspects, Adama Bojang (21), Lamin Jawla (18), and Muctarr Saidy (23), all from Sanyang, were apprehended at Jabang Market while buying food.

Seven goats and one sheep were recovered from a site they directed investigators to, along with D5,900 in cash. The suspected buyer remains at large, and the Gambia Police Force is asking anyone who lost livestock to visit the ACU Headquarters for identification.
