Police Arrested a Murder Suspect after a Missing Person Report in Serekunda

Gambia-Murder-Investigation

The Gambia Police Force is investigating the disappearance of Gabriel Adiaga, a 44-year-old Nigerian, who went missing on October 14, 2025.

A day later, a partially charred body was found, leading to the arrest of Wurry Barry, a Gambian citizen, who confessed to the murder after a confrontation on October 13. Evidence, including the murder weapon and blood-stained clothing, was found with the suspect.

The case demonstrates improvements in intelligence-led policing and forensic techniques, while the GPF emphasizes its commitment to justice and transparency.
