Paulo Duarte, a Portuguese national, has been appointed as the new head coach of the Guinea national football team by the Guinean Football Federation.
He replaces Kaba Diawara, who was dismissed due to poor results. Duarte, with coaching experience in Burkina Faso, Gabon, and Togo, aims to improve the team’s performance as they prepare for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers and the 2027 AFCON.
His first match in charge will be against Somalia on September 5. Upon his arrival, he met with government officials to outline his objectives.
