Nigerian researchers showcased new market-ready prototypes at the SGCI Demo Day in Abuja, part of the TETFund initiative.
Arc. Sonny Echono, the Executive Secretary of TETFund, highlighted the successes of the R4i initiative, which received a $250,000 grant.
The projects focused on clean energy, agriculture, and water sanitation, featuring innovations like renewable energy solutions and agricultural biotechnology.
The event stressed the importance of collaboration among universities, government, and industries to foster innovation and create green jobs, as well as the significance of local knowledge in sustainable development across Africa.
