On August 29, 2025, the Mobile Traffic Unit and the Transport Department of the University of The Gambia conducted a road safety training session at the Mobile Traffic Headquarters in Kanifing.

Deputy Commissioner DCP Buba S.F. Bah emphasized the importance of the initiative. The training focused on accident prevention, response during and after crashes, and traffic management.

It aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of officers to improve road safety, with a commitment from the Gambia Police Force to prioritize ongoing professional development for safer roads.
